About ABOR Examinations

The ABOR examinations are written, multiple choice examinations that are graded by computer. Examinees will not be allowed to use a calculator or outside notes.

The 240-question generalist examination is 5 hours with a break after 2 ½ hours.

Individual discipline examinations are 70 questions in length and are 90 minutes each. A maximum of 3 exams can be taken by discipline per day. The basic knowledge examination must be taken at the first sitting.

Examination results are typically received by email 4-6 weeks from the date of the examination.
