Illegitimate Sponsor Recruiters – Some past and present sponsors have been contacted by a person or group claiming to be affiliated with the 30th CRB Symposium and 70th AAB Educational Conference. They are calling from the telephone number 213-727-3656. This is a scam. Participants and sponsors and sponsor prospects will not be contacted by any third party seeking sponsorship for the 2026 Symposium and Conference. You may be contacted by LeAnn Hampton from the AAB office (phone: 314-241-1445 or email: HamptonL@aab.org or HamptonL@birenbaum.org) or Barbara Timm from the AAB office (timmb@birenbaum.org), but you will not be contacted by any other party. If you should hear from one of these scammers or if you aren’t sure about a contact, do not share any information. Please contact LeAnn or Barb immediately to share the phone number or email address from which you were contacted.

Illegitimate Booking Agencies – Several AAB/CRB participants have been contacted by groups claiming to be booking agencies affiliated with AAB/CRB. These are scams. Participants will not be contacted by any third-party booking agency about hotel rooms. Reservations should be made directly with the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa online via the group reservation link or by calling toll-free (877)622-3140 or locally (800)582-2996. Be sure to ask for rooms reserved for the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB).

Fraudulent List Agencies – AAB and CRB do not furnish attendee lists to solicitors for resale and do not allow third-party list vendors access to any attendee information. Any solicitations received via email to purchase an attendee list are fraudulent.
