About

Organized by the College of Reproductive Biology (CRB) to help individuals prepare for certification examinations, including the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB) certification examinations for Directors and Technical Supervisors in the disciplines of andrology and embryology. The Andrology & Embryology Review Course is also an excellent review for individuals entering the field or for those who need a refresher course.

An impressive faculty of leading experts in the fields of reproductive biology and assisted reproductive technologies (ART) has been assembled for this course. Topics include:

  • General laboratory topics, including the CLIA ’88 regulations, quality control/quality assurance, patient test management, OSHA regulations, FDA regulations, general laboratory safety, and laboratory and personnel management
  • An overview of male and female reproductive functions covering topics from the hypothalamic-gonadal axis to gamete and embryo biology
  • Semen analysis, sperm function and antisperm antibody testing, sperm preparation and cryopreservation, and other areas of laboratory andrology
  • Basic assisted reproductive technologies, such as the assessment of oocytes, embryos, and the fertilization process, culture media preparation, quality control testing, embryo cryopreservation, and micromanipulation

The deadline for guaranteed availability of hotel rooms at the special group rate of $139 per night, single or double occupancy, has passed, and only a limited number of rooms are available. The Hilton DFW Lakes Hotel/Executive Conference Center is just five minutes from the DFW International Airport and offers complimentary 24-hour shuttle service to and from that airport.

Review Course participants who reserve a room at the Hilton DFW Lakes Hotel will receive vouchers for a complimentary breakfast buffet on Friday (3/24), Saturday (3/25), and Sunday (3/26) mornings that includes hot and cold items, plus an hour and a half reception on Thursday (3/23), Friday (3/24), and Saturday (3/25) evenings in Bonnie & Clyde’s Bar and Grill, which includes two complimentary drinks and dry snacks. Monday, March 6, 2017, is the deadline date for guaranteed room availability at the Hilton. Reservations received after March 6, 2017, will be accepted on a space available basis.

Guest rooms, common areas and transportation services at the Hilton are ADA compliant. When making a room reservation, please mention if provisions for special accessibility or accommodations are required.

An early checkout fee may apply if you make a change to your planned length of stay. To avoid early checkout fees, advise the Hilton DFW Lakes at or before check-in of any change in your planned length of stay.

Hilton’s Complimentary Transportation from DFW International Airport: After claiming your luggage, contact the Hilton DFW Lakes transportation dispatcher at (817)410-6778. You will need to give the dispatcher your terminal and gate number. The dispatcher will instruct you where to board the shuttle.

Hilton’s Complimentary Transportation to DFW International Airport: Shuttles depart from the hotel lobby on the hour and half past the hour, 24 hours a day.

The Hilton does not offer transportation service to/from Love Field Airport in Dallas, which is approximately 20 minutes from the hotel. Participants arriving/departing via Love Field are responsible for their own transportation arrangements/costs.
