The 2nd Annual CRB Leadership Workshop was a Huge Success

In August, CRB hosted a dynamic leadership workshop that brought together lab directors, supervisors, managers and emerging leaders from across the network. We spent the weekend focusing on leadership strategies, strengthening communication, troubleshooting and risk management. This year our invited speakers included Drs. Kathy Go, Kristen Ivani, Caroline McCaffery and executive coach Marianne Steiner. The workshop concluded with robust interactive discussions and real-world case studies. Participants left energized, connected, and equipped with practical tools to lead their teams with greater clarity and purpose.

The CRB Andrology, Embryology and General Knowledge Review Course Returns!

After an eight-year hiatus, the CRB Andrology & Embryology and General Knowledge Review Courses made their long-awaited return in September 2025. Presented by experts in the fields, the courses offered a comprehensive overview of andrology and embryology information, laboratory quality assessment, compliance, management, safety, and key regulatory topics such as HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA. The program coincided with the release of the updated AAB Andrology & Embryology and General Knowledge Review Manuals, providing invaluable tools for both emerging and experienced professionals preparing for certification or seeking to refresh their knowledge.

Upcoming CRB Webinar

CRB is excited to continue our educational webinar series for our members! Join us on December 3, 2025, for the next webinar entitled “Tissue Banking: Best Practice, Regulatory Considerations and Key Challenges." This webinar will be presented by Marybeth Gerrity, Ph.D., HCLD(ABB), and moderated by current CRB President Matthew C. Hudnall, MS, TS(ABB). This is an extremely timely topic as tissue banking creates major liability risks for reproductive labs, making robust labeling, storage, and monitoring systems essential. As mergers and closures happen, tissue banks offer both revenue potential and risks. This webinar reviews best practices, common errors, and key regulatory developments in tissue banking.
