We are pleased to announce that the
American Association of Bioanalysts has been approved by the College of
American Pathologists (CAP) as an alternate proficiency testing provider for
2004*. This means that you may secure
and maintain CAP accreditation while continuing to use AAB as your proficiency
testing source. Since we have just
received approval our 2004 enrollment form does not list an option for
reporting results to CAP. If you would
like to have your results reported to CAP, please write in a statement
indicating that request on your enrollment form. Be sure to include your CAP Participant I.D.
Number as well.
At this time most analytes are
approved (Click here for the list
of currently approved analytes). We
are working with CAP to insure that any remaining analytes will be approved as
quickly as possible.
*AAB continues to be approved by
CLIA, COLA and JCAHO for all analytes.
