Cornerstone of Excellence: Building the Best ART Program

The CRB Meeting Committee, led by Carli Chapman, ELD/TS(ABB), has organized an outstanding program for the 20th Annual CRB Symposium, May 12-14, 2016, at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas.

“Topics were chosen with the goal in mind to help participants build the best ART program possible."

Sten Westgard, Westgard QC, will present the Keynote Lecture, “Application of Westgard Rules in the ART Laboratory.” Mr. Westgard will review the Westgard laboratory quality control rules and their contribution to chemistry testing and how they can be used to improve ART laboratories.

AAB Educational Conference
Molecular Diagnostics, Westgard Quality Control Rules, Zika and Other Mosquito-borne Viruses, and Handling Infectious Disease Emergencies Highlight AAB Conference

Molecular diagnostics is the most rapidly growing discipline in today’s clinical laboratory industry. To help you stay current with the latest developments, the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB) has scheduled a day-long series of educational programs at AAB’s 2016 Educational Conference covering the basics of molecular biology, molecular diagnostic techniques, setting up a molecular laboratory, and molecular biology case studies, led by William Bellamy, Ph.D., HCLD/CC(ABB). Dr. Bellamy is the director of the Molecular Diagnostics Division, Department of Pathology, and Professor of Pathology, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Limited Space Available at Red Rock Resort, Optional Space Available at the Element Las Vegas Summerlin Hotel

 

The room block at the Red Rock Resort has filled. A limited number of rooms are available on May 8 -14, but at higher room rates, varying from $140 to $300 per night for the Deluxe King Room plus a $30 resort fee. Red Rock Cancellations

 

If you have already reserved a room at the Red Rock Resort and need to cancel for any reason, please contact Shannon Hood at the AAB office: (314)241-1445 before contacting the Red Rock Resort. We may be able to re-use your reservation for another person attending the Conference/Symposium.

 

Element Las Vegas Summerlin Hotel, a Starwood Hotel

 

Arrangements have been made for additional rooms at the Element Las Vegas Summerlin Hotel. Rates are:

The Element is approximately one mile from the Red Rock Resort. There is NO hotel shuttle service between the Element and Red Rock, but taxi service and Uber are available. A taxi ride to Red Rock is $10 one way. The Element does offer complimentary parking.
