To be eligible for membership as a Director, you must meet one of the following requirements:
Be licensed or qualified as a laboratory director of a clinical, bioanalytical or environmental laboratory by any federal or state agency.
Be a Diplomate (certified director) of the American Board of Bioanalysis or be certified as a Laboratory Director by another national certifying agency acceptable to the AAB Membership Committee.
A Director member is eligible to be elected to their Regional Board of Governors as a Regional Chair, Regional Administrative Secretary, Regional Treasurer, Chair of the Region’s Committee on Government and Professional Relations or Chair of the Region’s Committee on Continuing Education.
A Director member who is elected as Regional Chair or Regional Administrative Secretary also serves on AAB’s National Board of Directors.
Annual dues: $225
To be eligible for membership as an Owner, you must have:
At least a 10% ownership share or financial interest in a clinical, bioanalytical, or environmental laboratory, or the parent company of a clinical, bioanalytical or environmental laboratory, whether or not you are trained in the laboratory sciences. Ownership may be through debt or equity.
An Owner member is eligible to be elected to their Regional Board of Governors as a Regional Chair, Regional Administrative Secretary, Regional Treasurer, Chair of the Region’s Committee on Government and Professional Relations or Chair of the Region’s Committee on Continuing Education.
An Owner member who is elected as Regional Chair or Regional Administrative Secretary also serves on AAB’s National Board of Directors.
